WITCHER 3 BETTER FIRESTREAM MOD UPGRADE
I guess armor melting is okay, in that if you use Igni constantly and you probably will then it's a fine added bonus, but it is not worth it to upgrade Firestream at all, and past that all you get is +25% intensity for 5 precious skill points, that many things give you better sign intensity for less, and then an opportunity to waste 5 more skillpoints on burn chance, which odds are you're not going to need at all either. Which is a shame because both other games had at least okay if not great end-tier Igni skills, but this whole entire branch basically just sucks. I could not figure out one single good use for it that Igni is not better at. So it's literally worse than Igni at every single possible freaking thing. Then meanwhile it hasn't got a range advantage over Igni that I can tell, but it also is only half-useful in crowd control, that Igni is also massively better at, and Igni seems to be better at lighting enemies on fire too.
The reason it is stupid and useless is because even a point of stamina from being fully full and you can't use it, which means that something can attack you, interrupt your attack, and then you have to wait for stamina to be full again to start re-using firestream. It does way less damage than Igni in fact testing this I've found a single burst of regular Igni does about the same damage as mag dumping stamina into firestream.īut that's not why it's stupid and useless. It's solely "useful" against certain specific boss-type enemies, like a fiend. I can confirm that firestream is practically f'ing useless and that all it does is get you to lose hp and get stunlocked in attacks. I should've just dropped my points into alchemy instead.
